An Interview with Gary Gackstatter: Composer, Author, Wind Conductor

I had the pleasure of catching up with Gary last week. He joined me online while camping in Colorado and between some engagements working with young music educators and promoting his new book, The Spark.

I enjoyed getting learn how Gary entered into the band profession. It was interesting to hear him tell his journey.

I loved getting side tracked when started sharing our love of the music of Percy Grainger.
